Save My Sunny Sky

NEW News: (Announcements For More)

What Is Going On Over Our Heads

Why It's So Polluted by Noise?

Starting from the second half of the year 2016, lots of residents from

Sunnyvale and Cupertino residents noticed that in the sky

          There Are More Air Crafts

And They Are Flying in More Concentrated Patterns

At Much Lower Altitudes and Thus Much Noisier

Some Times They Fly Even Lower

         And Sometime (Almost Everyday)

The LOUD Noise Comes At Midnight (1:15 am)

There are three sources of NEW problems:

1) Surf Air's "New Bayside Visual Approach" dumping sky traffic to Sunnyvale as a 'mitigation'

Excerpts from Reducing Aircraft Noise By Congressman Mike Honda:

on July 5th, 2016, the number of Surf Air flights going into and out of San Carlos Airport over SF Bay, crossing Sunnyvale, increased. San Mateo County, which operates the airport, called this a “noise mitigation measure ” when it asked the FAA for permission to allow Surf Air to do this more often. The FAA gave permission for a six-month test to determine the impacts of this route on flight operations and community residents. As residents of Sunnyvale can attest to, this change is already bringing more air traffic and noise over their homes, negatively impacting their quality of life.

 Previously

We did NOT notice ANY Surf Air passing Sunnyvale

And This Is

What We Want

"Old" Approach (Claimed by San Carlos)

But with a lot of complaints from

South Sunnyvale

 "New" Approach Over Sunnyvale

Trial  Finished, FAA has NOT decided

But Surf Air is still flying BVA!!!

Beginning from mid June 2017

Please Do Not Sell This To Us Either!

A 6-month Trial started, without notifying Sunnyvale or Cupertino!

Thousands of complaints from us even late in the untold game.

In the chart below, blue line is the currently published route, while the red one is the BVA (Bayside Visual Approach) to be published. It's apparent that the over-the-bay part is great, but Sunnyvale and Cupertino are totally ignored here. For more information on BVA, and why they are lying, please see here.

Hi Sunnyvale, awaken now?

Hi Cupertino, how do you feel?

In Letter from Congresswoman Eshoo:

"I recognize that there is potential for this trial route to reduce the impact of noise over our mutual constituents in San Mateo County. However, if this route has an adverse impact on Mountain View and Sunnyvale and there is not a process to consider the concerns of all of my constituents before the FAA considers granting it permanent status, I will oppose this measure."

And our Mayor Glenn Hendrick can prove to you that he was not notified about any of such proposals.

2)  SJC (San Jose Airport) is sending more and concentrated flights to over Sunnyvale

Official description of this problem:SJC South Flow Q&A

Watch this video to feel it: Sunnyvale Busy Night Sky

And it's all due to the NextGen implemented starting from 2014, below is a comparison by Robert Holbrook from Mountain View, and we share the same problem so our groups are working together on this issue.

3)  And potentially (Already here on 11/27/2016!), SFO airplanes are also being pushed to over Sunnyvale (observed on Flightradar24).

Notice that the big planes are circling over Sunnyvale? It's said to be a "holding tanking for SFO", because the airport needs more time to arrange them for landing. This "holding tanking for SFO" used to be over Palo Alto city, and now, due to their diligent work, it's shifted to Sunnyvale, and problem (for who?) solved (how?). Also, why do the big planes need to fly at the altitude of 2,900 ft?

And you know that we already have Moffet Field! But is that the very reason that EVERYONE wants to fly over Sunnyvale in order to make other cities happy?

Act Now Or it will be Permanent !!!
