- The
National Quiet Skies Coalition supports communities across the United
States whose citizens have been adversely impacted by the Federal
Aviation Administration's NextGen program.
- Northern California Metroplex:The site has completed the study and design phases of the Metroplex process. There are 32 procedures planned for SFO, Sacramen to International Airport (SMF), Oakland International Airport (OAK), and San Jose International Airport (SJC). This Metroplex site also has eight area navigation Air Traffic Service routes (Q-routes) planned. This siteis now in the implementation phase of the Metroplex process, and the FAA commits to completion in Q3 CY2015.
- The FAA has completed a redesign of airspace, introduced new Performance
Based Navigation (PBN) procedures, and made use of Time Based Flow
Management (TBFM) to make the Northern California Metroplex airspace
more efficient with improved access to its airports. Some of the
airports in the focus area include: Hayward Executive (HWD), Oakland
International (OAK), Palo Alto Airport of Santa Clara County (PAO), San
Francisco International (SFO), Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International
(SJC), and Sacramento International (SMF). The information below may
